All about Pennine Artists

Pennine Artists is the new name for Hens Teeth the Penistone & District Visual Arts Group. We hope you like our new name, we feel it more accurately reflects who we are and our pride in the beautiful area we come from.

We are arts and crafts makers of all ages, and experiences.  We all produce high quality pieces that often reflect the stunning countryside we live in.

We have organised and exhibited at many events including Art in the Gardens, Penistone Show, Fair Trade days, International Women's Day and together with local artists we ran the annual 'Art at the Altar, held at St John's Church, Penistone during December 2005, 2006 & 2007.

Our achievements, integrity and quality of work led to the Cooper Gallery, Barnsley to invite our group to hold our own dedicated exhibition for 6 weeks, supported by the Arts Council, during March & April 2008 - please look at the Cooper Exhibition page [left]. 

We have also been invited by Wentworth Castle to stage an exhibition in May 2009, with the theme being drawn from this heritage site and gardens.
